Dr Bree will create a tailored herbal using a combination of Ayurvedic and Chinese Medicine theories.

The herbal form changes between patients depending on the case and individual situation. 

- Dried/raw herbs are brewed at home (by you) on the stove into a tea.

- Patent pills are easy to take and are ordered via an account with vital.ly.

- Liquid herbs are created by Dr Bree and posted within 2 days of consult. This is the most common herbal treatment used. 

The consult includes a maximum 30 minute conversation via phone call on any current conditions or diagnosis you may have. We will discuss any other health issues that are present and delve into your gut health, menstrual cycle, sleep quality, emotional/mental states, symptoms of general wellbeing, medical history, diet, lifestyle and any recent blood tests or scans. This will give us a bigger picture of your health so we can treat the root cause.

Before your consult:

Please email your phone number, email address and any recent blood tests to hello@drbreetcm.com

After the consult you will receive:

- A  treatment plan which includes any recommendations for diet and lifestyle changes, timeline for future consults, any vital information discussed or referrals for further investigations.

- Either a 200ml or 500ml herbal tailored to your case for an additional cost (invoiced after the consult).

- Raw herbs (stove cooked at home) or patent pills are also available depending on patient preferability.

    Herbals and products are posted within 1-2 days using standard australian post delivery.

Forms of Chinese Herbs

  • Patent Pills

    These are formulas created into pre-made pills. They can not be tailored or customised. This type of herbal form is the least potent but easiest to take. For this reason they need to be taken for a longer period of time to see results.

    For this method of treatment I prefer to use ChinaMed.

  • Liquid Extract

    Herbal liquids can be tailored to the individual case by using individual liquid herbal extracts. This form can sometimes have a bitter or pungent taste to them, however are more potent than pill form.

    For Ayurvedic herbs I use Herbal Extracts Company and for Chinese herbs I utilise a third-party company Safflower.

  • Raw herbs

    Raw herbs are dried in their most natural state which makes them the strongest form of herbal medicine. They come in a bag and are boiled at home into a tea. These are easily tailored and customised to the individual case. This method also allows us to choose herbs to be prepared in a certain way to alter therapeutic outcomes and maximise efficacy.
